March 3rd we have a Full Moon in Virgo arriving as a sacred checkpoint, a moment of culmination, clarity and emotional illumination. This Full Moon mark the fulfillment of intentions planted on the previous New Moon. This Moon specifically will be occurring with Virgo–Pisces axis inviting us to enquiry about the balance between the practical and the mystical, the tangible and the intangible.
Virgo rules the systems, tools and daily rituals that support our earthly life (work, health, habits, service, routines) whilst Pisces governs our spiritual connection, intuition, imagination, rest and divine union.
Under this Full Moon, we may feel tension between:
Order - chaos
Logic - intuition
Physical health - spiritual wellbeing
Structure - flow
Neglecting Virgo energy can leave us scattered, ungrounded and overwhelmed. Neglecting Pisces energy can leave us rigid, hyper-controlled, and spiritually disconnected
This Full Moon asks you:
Where do I need more devotion in my daily life?
Where have I over-perfected and forgotten to trust?
Virgo & The Chakras: Voice, Vision, and Foundation
Virgo is often linked to the Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) because of its relationship to truth, discernment and clear communication. Virgo analyses before it speaks as it values precision and integrity. But as an earth sign, Virgo is also deeply connected to the Root Chakra (Muladhara) (grounding, safety, stability and foundational structure)
Additionally, Virgo’s gift for detail and discernment resonates with the Third Eye (Ajna) (clarity, perception and refined awareness)
Vishuddha Grounding: A Ritual for Truth & Stability
This ritual is designed to harmonise your Throat Chakra while strengthening your Root Chakra foundation.
You’ll Need:
- Moon Oil
- A blue candle (Throat)
- A red candle (Root)
- A bowl of water
- A small stone or crystal (clear quartz, sodalite, or any earth stone)
- Journal & pen
- Sea salt
Guide
Prepare the Ground (Root Activation). Sit on the floor if possible. Sprinkle a small circle of sea salt around you or place it in a bowl beside you. Place one hand a few drops of Moon Oil on your fingers and anoint your lower belly or base of spine. Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Visualise deep red roots extending from your spine into the earth.
Whisper, “I am safe to be seen. I am safe to be heard. I am supported.” And sit with this feeling, nurturing the stability beneath you.
Clear the Throat (Vishuddha Activation). Light the blue candle & hold the bowl of water in your hands and gaze into it. Water absorbs and transmutes stagnant energy. Place your hand gently on your throat and hum softly. The vibration stimulates the vagus nerve and clears energetic stagnation. And speak aloud
- One truth you’ve been holding back
- One boundary you need to reinforce
- One commitment to healthier daily structure
Integrate by holding your stone or crystal at your throat, then place it at your root (lower abdomen or base of spine) And journal the following questions
- Where am I over-controlling?
- Where am I avoiding responsibility?
- What daily ritual will support both my body and spirit?
Choose one simple habit to commit to for the next lunar cycle. Blow out both candles with gratitude. Pour the water into the earth (or down the sink with intention), releasing old patterns.
The March Full Moon in Virgo whispers a feminine truth that devotion is not loud or performative, it is tender, rhythmic and faithful. Healing is not a storm, it is a soft returning, again and again. When we root our voice into the earth and weave sacred structure into our spiritual lives, we no longer swing between overwhelm and rigidity. We soften into balance. We soften into trust
